    Tony Devenish AM: At the Regeneration Committee a couple of years ago we talked about estates strategy and, when we asked about the carbon footprint of the strategy, we were met by silence. I do remember the meeting very clearly. Would you say you are leading on carbon matters that have been mentioned by Assembly Member Polanski in terms of the estate and not the appliances of the LFB? To the Deputy Mayor, would you be up to a pilot of possibly merging an LAS and an LFB station and making it a zero-carbon best-in-practice project?

    Sakina Sheikh AM: It has been really fantastic to hear your answers to the questions that have come before, Deputy Mayor and Commissioner. Anyone who has done their homework knows that Sadiq [Khan, Mayor of London] has been a fierce advocate for improving building safety in London, pushing developers in the right direction on this particular point. Commissioner, you said in your earlier comments that we need to see integrity, not profit, as a driver for the way that developers integrate building safety in their plans. It is so important that you have both already mentioned the Grenfell tragedy, a nightmare for many, but a reality for the residents who are still waiting for justice. It is a pertinent conversation to frame the rest of the discussion today about building safety. I wanted to start off by asking you, Fiona, specifically, what fire safety measures have been introduced into the planning system and how are they improving safety for Londoners?
