Hina Bokhari AM: I am going to talk about the topical and serious issue of sewage. In 2019, raw sewage flowed from a Thames Water overflow pipe into the wetlands, running into the canal and the River Lea on the Olympic Park a staggering 91 times over 1,026 hours. There are now reports of raw sewage once again pouring into the Park’s water network, flowing from the recent heavy rains.
