    Yes, Chair. I am impressed the Mayor has created another functional body: Bacon for London! I have three areas of questioning - very briefly.     Thank you, Chair. Cruel fate has dictated that I lead on this as well! I am very grateful for your opening comments. Can you tell us what progress you have made in your discussions with the boroughs in particular on how they might be affected, particularly on the planning powers?
  • LDA Salaries in excess of £210,000 per annum

    In 2005-06 the two highest salaries paid by the LDA were one salary in the range £190-200k and one salary in the range £130-£140k. In 2006-07 the LDA paid two salaries in the range £210-£220k. Which posts attracted these salaries, and how do you justify increases of approximately 10% and 60% respectively in the two highest salaries at a time when average pay increases were closer to 3%?

    In 2005-06 the LDA had 66 employees paid in excess of £50,000 per annum. By 2006-07 this had increased to 107. How do you justify this increase? How many salaries in excess of £50k are being paid in 2007-08?
