  • Access to primary and community health care (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Joanne McCartney
    • Meeting date: 18 June 2014
Joanne McCartney AM: I was just going to pick up on something you said earlier, that when we are changing any aspect of the health system it is essential that we build the trust and confidence of the public and patients. We have all been out supporting our local hospitals that are at risk of closure, and it is very emotive when you talk about changing healthcare provision. I know from my experience of ChaseFarm, for example, that one of the requirements of the Independent Reconfiguration Panel was that primary care and access to primary and community care had to...
  • Strategic Health Authority (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Murad Qureshi
    • Meeting date: 18 June 2014
Murad Qureshi AM: I am just going to bring up issues around the A&E services in London. Is not the ongoing all-year crisis with A&E services in London good evidence that we need pan-London leadership to get the situation under control?
  • London Development Agency Funding of Organisations (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Tony Arbour
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
Is this information going to be made available to us, that information which you have just said, 'You can see'?
  • Review process of LDA funding (Supplementary) [18]

    • Question by: Tony Arbour
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
Is this information going to be made available to us, that information which you have just said, 'You can see'?
  • Review process of LDA funding (Supplementary) [20]

    • Question by: Bob Neill
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
First of all a specific point: there are standard phrases which occur in a number of paragraphs of the review, one that the review has identified weaknesses, in effect, in procedures which are now being addressed and, second, the point is made, I think, on three or four occasions about the way in which the Mayoral advisory role is conducted in respect of programme delivery should be clarified. What specific steps are you taking to carry forward those conclusions?
  • Review process of LDA funding (Supplementary) [22]

    • Question by: Tony Arbour
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
When you say that you are making all of the files available, will you understand our scepticism when earlier this year the Assembly's Economic Development, Culture, Sport and Tourism Committee asked lots of questions about the Bernie Grant Centre and we were originally told that there were only a few sheets of information available but then, when we asked for the matter to be investigated more closely, 40 cartons of papers were made available? It is very difficult for us on that basis to know what precisely is going to be the full information that you hold.
  • Review process of LDA funding (Supplementary) [26]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
How are you going to conduct this sampling process?
  • Review process of LDA funding (Supplementary) [30]

    • Question by: Sally Hamwee
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
The report refers to, I quote, 'Having identified weaknesses in LDA project management and record keeping'. Does that lead you to have concern about other projects? Are you intending to carry out any reviews or audit work on other projects?
  • Review process of LDA funding (Supplementary) [33]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
The concern that I would have here is that we have very serious concerns and allegations being raised by ' whatever you might say ' the Evening Standard, as being the publication in London, yet you did not approach them for any further evidence that they have made in terms of their allegations to do this internal review.
  • Review process of LDA funding (Supplementary) [36]

    • Question by: Peter Hulme Cross
    • Meeting date: 16 January 2008
My question follows on from what Tony Arbour and Bob Blackman were saying. You said that you have interviewed existing staff but you have not interviewed staff who no longer work for the organisation, one of whom, Maxine Jones, also made some allegations. There were two whistleblowers: Brenda Stern and Maxine Jones. You have said, 'The review has found that this allegation is incorrect'. In order to reach that conclusion it would seem to me that you would have to talk to both of those two people.
