    • Question by: Sally Hamwee
    • Meeting date: 05 December 2007
On what grounds could you take a case to court if the PPP Arbiter rules that London Underground owes the Metronet administrator substantial sums for cost overruns?
  • Access to Hospitals

    • Reference: 2007/0181-1
    • Question by: Sally Hamwee

What priority is TfL giving to ensure that there is bus access to hospitals, and that bus stops on hospital sites are given priority over car-parks?
  • Borough Spending Allotment

    • Reference: 2007/0266-1
    • Question by: Brian Coleman
    • Meeting date: 05 December 2007
Barnet Council received an 18.4% cut in TfL's Borough Spending Allotment this year. When inflation is taken into account, that figure is even more shocking. Could the Commissioner justify to my constituents why TfL have slashed their budget?
  • Prioritisation of Major Transport Projects (Supplementary) [7]

    • Question by: Brian Coleman
    • Meeting date: 05 December 2007
Commissioner, I am not as obsessed with the Cross River Tram as Ms Shawcross, or indeed as many of my Labour council colleagues in Camden, who are obsessed with the Cross River Tram, in the complete opposite direction from Ms Shawcross. Will you accept that there are serious concerns about this development in South Camden, in Somers Town and Bloomsbury, and other areas that the proposal passes through? Many people do not consider it a solution to overcrowding on the Northern Line, which again I experienced this morning, having to stand all the way from Finchley Central to London Bridge...
  • Staffing at Overground Stations (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Brian Coleman
    • Meeting date: 05 December 2007
On the subject of security at stations, are you aware, Commissioner, of the security problem of criminals fitting scanning devices on chip and pin machines at our tube station? We have had two at West Finchley in the last few weeks. They seem to have moved on from banks to tube stations. Will you be taking appropriate action? Sally Hamwee (Chair): I think the question is, 'and will you make sure it does not go onto the London Overground?' Brian Coleman (Deputy Chairman): Indeed.

This is not a personal complaint, Peter!
  • Constructive Engagement (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Sally Hamwee
    • Meeting date: 06 December 2006
Thank you for that. It is intended to be a constructive question as well as asking about constructive engagement. I think I have been asked to do it so that it was not Geoff [Pope] getting at you all the way through the meeting! I am glad to hear that because that was not one of the suggestions that was agreed before, and perhaps that can be taken forward both for you, as Commissioner, and others in TfL. There has been a reference this morning to difficulties about responses. Thank you for putting in place a liaison person. The experience...
  • Constructive Engagement (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Sally Hamwee
    • Meeting date: 06 December 2006
The closure of the Waterloo and City line after Metronet had failed to clear the dust I am told: `Still no helpful facts six hours after the incident'. The PPP Arbiter's report, that was published at 7.30 am, I understand that Members and Members' staff were excluded from TfL's press conference at 11.30am and were not able to talk to TfL until 1pm the following day.
  • Capacity Enhancement Projects (Supplementary) [8]

    • Question by: Brian Coleman
    • Meeting date: 06 December 2006
I would be grateful if you would let me chair the meeting! I would be most grateful, Commissioner, if you would answer the question, thank you.
