    Children from London's black African or Caribbean communities are more than twice as likely to be injured or killed as pedestrians than other young Londoners. Please can you update me on TfL's work to reduce child casualties from these groups?

    It was expected that improvements to passenger security at Wood Street and other stations on the Chingford route would be carried out in partnership between TfL and the Train Operating Company during the 2005/6 financial year, but a joint funding agreement could not be reached with 'One'. My constituents in Waltham Forest continue to call for safety improvements at Wood Street station, where John Coffey was stabbed to death in 2004.     I welcome the huge increase in the capacity of the bus network. However, many of my constituents, older Londoners in particular, feel that the introduction of the bendy bus has led to a deterioration in the quality of their journeys, because of difficulties boarding and getting a seat. What are you doing to ensure that the increase in quantity of bus journeys does not lead to a decrease in the quality of the service?
