  • Capital Investment (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 05 June 2013
Andrew Boff (AM): I think, Professor Travers, when Assembly Member [Tom] Copley talks about a growing consensus on housing, he is talking about a growing consensus in the Labour Party on housing, and that, as you so rightly pointed out, there is a difference between a policy that subsidises houses irrespective of the needs of the people who live in them, and the policy that we favour of helping people when they need it. But that was not what I was going to ask. I really wondered whether or not you had reference to the European Charter of Local Self-Government...
  • Taking forward the recommendations (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 05 June 2013
Andrew Boff (AM): I do hate it, Professor Travers, when you come here because you answer all my questions before I have asked them. But do you think the Mayor is missing a trick in just lobbying for London when he should actually be lobbying for cities? It strikes me that the 'carrot crunchers' have their lobby groups and unfortunately the cities do not seem to have a cohesive one.
  • Olympics Legacy Ambassador Role

    • Question by: Andrew Boff

  • Affordable Ticket Guarantees (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 14 November 2012
Lord Deighton, what we had asked for in our meeting back in March/April - I cannot remember when it was - what we had asked for and what we received an assurance about was that we would get the data immediately after the Olympics; it would be released to us and that we would be able to make judgments about the allocations. What we received was an embargoed set of aggregated data, not the raw data that we wanted. We received an embargoed set of aggregated data one week before this meeting, embargoed until yesterday, and we get the breakdown...
  • Localisation of Business Rates (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 24 October 2012
Andrew Boff (AM): Professor Travers, do you think that the localisation of business rates might assist local authorities in dealing with the blight of empty shops and derelict land?
  • Tickets (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Mr Deighton, do hospitality providers have more than one source of tickets?
  • Transparency (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Lord Coe, you know those annual letters you get about your pension and they send it off to you and they say, 'This is your predicted benefits from your pension'? One thing I do know is yours is probably a little more optimistic than my letter, but when was the last time that letter actually said to you, 'We are not going to tell you now about these benefits because it is ever-changing and too complicated for you to understand, but what we will do is we will let you know when you retire'?! When did you last get that...
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
This is a useful suggestion. As the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London have indicated, we have capacity problems with the mall and St James' Park. How about we route the marathon around the East End? That would help, would it not, enormously?
