    • Question by: Susan Hall
    • Meeting date: 12 January 2021
Susan Hall AM: Thank you. Good morning, everybody. My question, please, is to Rajesh Agrawal, our Deputy Mayor for Business. Rajesh, last Tuesday we had a very amicable Budget and Performance [Committee] meeting and the Mayor said, I quote: “There is some good news today from the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The Chancellor this morning has announced an additional grant, which will really help those sectors that we really worry about: retail, hospitality, all those sectors. He has announced a one-off grant today. It is hot off the press. This is a really good piece of news that will be...
  • London and Covid-19 Restrictions (Supplementary) [12]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 12 January 2021
Andrew Boff AM: Mr Agrawal, you mentioned earlier about how the roads were being changed in order to accommodate cyclists and pedestrians. Will the Mayor be taking further into account the interests of disabled people? These changes have actually negatively affected many disabled people, but they have not had the opportunity to comment on them. Can you assure me that things will change in the future, and that disabled people will be fully consulted when changes in the road network are considered?

    • Question by: Valerie Shawcross

I notice that 'Tube lines' programme of station rebuilds and major refurbishments is heavily biased away from South London stations. Did you discuss the priority order of these schemes with Tube Lines and if so can you justify only working on 3 south London stations in the next 5 years? Do you think there is scope for reviewing these priorities when TfL takes over LUL? .

  • Customer checks on the Tube (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Samantha Heath
    • Meeting date: 11 June 2003
Moving on from that, it is the perception and how that relates to your indicators. You have already indicated there is a little bit of a discrepancy there. For example, the public is not very comfortable in terms of the perceived safety of Underground stations. If you look at the statistics, it does not look so bad. Where are you with that? How do you think we can make the perception of safety on the Underground work?
  • Access (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Jennette Arnold OBE
    • Meeting date: 11 June 2003
Thank you for that answer. I have a couple of points related to my question. Firstly, I am glad you recognise this is an issue that is not going to go away and that it absolutely should be high on the agenda now, primarily because 17% of the working age population in London " your customers " have registered themselves as long?term disabled. It is not like we are talking about a minority issue here. You talked about the PPP envelope, which is something that was put to me recently by someone born with cerebral palsy. He got over that...
