One of the options for Londoners who cannot afford the rise in the ULEZ, the expansion, is to join car clubs, especially in outer London where cars are still quite heavily used. Are we doing enough to promote this kind of activity? Are you working on that?

    Marina Ahmad AM: Mr Mayor, a question for you. London generates almost a quarter of the UK’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Inadequate government support would compromise the UK’s economic recovery from COVID-19 as under-investment would consign Londoners to a future of crumbling infrastructure, disrupted emergency services, and travelling around through outdated stations on old and unreliable trains prone to breaking down. TfL ridership numbers in London remain lower than pre-pandemic, impacting not only on TfL’s finances, but those businesses in the centre of London.
