  • Security During Games Time (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Caroline Pidgeon
    • Meeting date: 19 November 2008
You have made it very clear that when the Games are on you are responsible for the security within venue, you said, so within, for example, the Park. Given that there have been huge numbers of break-ins over the years into train and Tube depots, how are you going to ensure that public transport does not pose a security threat, particularly when you have got lines bisecting the Park, going around the Park and, I think, possibly even under the Park?

  • Legacy (Supplementary) [16]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
Let us come back to the legacy issues and the day to day decision-making that is going on because one of the areas that we have had interesting discussions about is how those decisions are made. So, how involved are you in the day-to-day decision-making around the position of creating the legacy for the Games?

But are you content that the in-venue security budget is sufficient, given what you know now?
  • LOCOG Budget (Supplementary) [8]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
The cost of the security included in the bid was relatively low compared to what we spent, for example, at Athens, and as we know the world has become probably an even more dangerous place than it was. Are you revisiting the cost of security in the budget process?
  • Sponsorship (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
Okay, what happens if there is a shortfall on this Tier 1 sponsorship?
  • Sponsorship (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
Can I be clear? The first sponsor will be announced in March next year but you are obviously covering six areas as you said. When do those kick off in terms of tender processes and when can we expect the announcements to be made of the sponsors in those areas?
  • Sponsorship (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
So, we can expect everything in place by 2008. The Government have announced extra funding for elite sports, £200 million I believe, with £100 million coming from private sector sponsorship. Has that decision affected some of the key sponsors and what they can offer?
  • Sponsorship (Supplementary) [9]

    • Question by: Bob Blackman
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
When would be the back stop date when you would expect to have every sponsor in place?
