  • Affordable Ticket Guarantees (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 14 November 2012
Thank you, madam. There is no doubt, we all agree what a phenomenal event it was, well, the two events, the Olympics and the Paralympics. It seems to me rather unfortunate that this is the one thing that seems to be besmirching the phenomenal record because it is being commented on in both the broadcast media and in the written media. There is one thing that I do not quite understand. There was a Twitter feed - I think it was called @2012TicketAlert - which could have directed people to your website when you did have unsold tickets. Is it...
  • Transparency (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Gentlemen, about three or four weeks ago there was a Channel 4 Dispatches programme on which indeed Dee Doocey and my colleague Andrew Boff were fairly major contributors. I think that a lot of the problems that we have already been talking about this morning were dealt with in that programme, or those questions were raised, can I ask you whether you two can confidently refute the various allegations that were made in the Dispatches programme or not?
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Part of the business plan, as you set it out, was of course about transport and traffic, and the part I want to concentrate on is the Games Lanes. There seems to be a little bit of confusion. In the last few days, there has been some suggestion that you may be allowing some other people into the network. Can you specify? Are you going to suddenly allow in black cabs and non-emergency vehicles, funeral corteges? Can you give us some detail, please?

We welcome Seb Coe and Paul Deighton. We are going to receive a brief introductory statement first from Seb.
  • Lessons Learned from Beijing (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 19 November 2008
Can I just say, first of all, I am very pleased you have been to Wimbledon to talk to them and to start to look at their ticketing because it is something that you, Paul, will know we are very proud of in South West London, the techniques that have been built up at Wimbledon. The question I want to ask you, though, in terms of lessons from Beijing is this one: there was, frankly, some disappointment expressed at the way London was symbolised at the Closing Ceremony in Beijing. I do not know whether you two were proud of...
  • Living Wage (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Darren Johnson
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
But will contractors be expected to comply with it even if there are circumstances where that may not happen for some reason but will they be expected to comply with it?
  • Living Wage (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Darren Johnson
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
You say it is not an absolute condition but only a year ago the Mayor said, talking about the living wage, and I quote, `That would be the bedrock on which the hiring and employment strategy of all parts of the Olympic family in London will rest'. At that stage the thinking very much seemed to be to make it a clear contractual condition and the QC's advice that the Mayor got with regard to the living wage in terms of GLA contracts was, `I do not consider that the GLA would be acting unlawfully if it gave some weight...
  • Olympic Route Network (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Darren Johnson
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
One of the things the Assembly has been investigating recently is the growing concerns about helicopter noise amongst Londoners. Will there be any additional use of helicopters during the actual period of the Games?
  • Olympic Route Network (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Darren Johnson
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
So there will be no use of helicopters by visitors? It would only be for security?
  • Olympic Route Network (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Darren Johnson
    • Meeting date: 10 October 2006
And you will be pushing for a no-fly zone for helicopters for other uses that are unrelated to the Games?
