    The makers of wind turbines, solar panels, electric vehicles and other supposedly environment-friendly technologies claim that these technologies are ‘green,’ ‘clean’ and ’just.’ Cobalt is an expensive metal used in electric car batteries, costing about $35,000 per ton.
