Assembly Member Cooper outlined in the recent Fire, Resilience and Emergency Planning (FREP) Committee that more could be done to promote ways that Londoners can be energy efficient at home and that this may have a better impact on reducing costs and preserving the power network than retrofitting. Do you agree?

    • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
UK Power Networks has said that whilst solar panels do bring down carbon usage, solar panels alone are not enough to provide energy for a whole property, therefore the grid is still required. You push retrofitting as a way to promote green practices and reduce the cost of living. However, with less carbon usage there is often more energy use, and this could be putting pressure on the grid. As well as pushing retrofitting, will you consider looking at alternative energy, such as hydrogen as well as hydrogen power if the Government approve this for domestic use, like other Metro...
