  • Closures

    • Reference: 2009/3535
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2009
Thank you for your answer to 3118/2009. However, whilst I understand the need for the upgrade work on both the District Line and the mainline rail line between Liverpool Street and Shenfield, replacement bus services are not a satisfactory alternative. When it takes one of my constituents longer to travel from Upminster to Euston than from Euston to Manchester then there is clearly an issue that needs to be addressed. How much longer will this situation continue?

    • Meeting date: 14 October 2009
On Sunday 4th October, the District Line from Barking to Upminster and the C2C Liverpool Street to Shenfield service were not running. Given that West Ham had a home game this was a huge inconvenience to a great many of my constituents. Could you instruct TfL to liaise with C2C and give me a full list of closures - including joint closures - so that my constituents can more easily make alternate arrangements?
