The proposal is likely to discourage rather than encourage much needed house building in London.     I have received a number of expressions of concern from my constituents who in seeking to return home to South London on the bus find that the bridge is packed with fully laden buses taking up to twenty minutes to cross London Bridge, partly because of the road works at the southern end of the bridge. Is there any action that the GLA could take to encourage a solution to this problem? .
