You said when elected that you would fight for a better deal from Government for Londoners, however London boroughs are set to lose £13 million next financial year and thorugh the callous manipulation of statistical data London will be deprived of a further £140 million over entitlement through the neighbourhood fund over the next three years. In the Draft Transport Strategy the Mayor indicated the possibility of targeting fare initiatives to promote social inclusion for less well off groups. Given that students 18 and over must pay full fares, this must limit their access to London, and may be a disincentive to remain in education. Would the Mayor therefore consider a targeted fare initiative for students?
