The new 493 bus route is very welcome. What is not welcome is the size and TfL's instruction to Wandsworth Council that traffic calming put in under the 'Safer Routes to School' initiative will now have to be dug up. This is getting rather ridiculous - there must be buses smaller than the ones now under order by TfL for residential roads which are too narrow to accommodate them.
