You may recall my earlier question (14 September MQT) regarding the noise and disturbance caused to local residents by the announcement system at Earl's Court Station. Following a meeting between myself, the GLA Head of Transport, a representative of local residents, London Underground, Environmental Health Officers and a local Councillor, it was understood and agreed that the Station Manager would instruct staff that announcements were to be strictly monitored and only those relating to Health and Safety issues were to be relayed over the PA system outside the hours of 9pm and 7.30am.
