    In a bid to diffuse criticism of the findings in the recent Department of Health survey that showed 70% of patients were not offered a choice of elective care provider the government announced patients' choice leaflets are going to be more widely available. Does the Mayor have any plans to use Londoner's taxpayer's money bail out the Government and advertise these in The Londoner?

    Many of the MPs on the Education and Skills Committee to which you gave evidence on 23rd October seemed concerned about the ability of the different skills bodies in London to work together. Given the failures of the present apprenticeship and training scheme to deliver the skills that London needs, does he really think that the new London Skills and Employment Board will be able to add anything coherent to the mix and make up for this deficit?
