    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
When the Mayor visited Ealing Broadway Station in early October he promised that TfL would review its refusal to re-open the old District Line entrance to the station. Has TfL completed its review? If so, what has been the outcome?
  • Bakerloo Line (1)

    • Reference: 2009/3946
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Vibrations and noise from the Bakerloo line between Maida Vale and Warwick Avenue have been causing my constituents disturbance for the past nine years, and in some cases has prevented them from selling their properties. Can the Mayor assure these residents that TfL will finally rectify the problem?
  • Bakerloo Line (2)

    • Reference: 2009/3947
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Back in June the Mayor reassured me and my constituents that TfL were looking into dealing with the problem of screeching on the Bakerloo line at Paddington Station. This problem has not been rectified and London underground customers are still suffering the intolerable level of screeching form the train lines. Can the Mayor update us as to what TfL are currently doing about the problem?
  • Tube Closures

    • Reference: 2009/3948
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Constituents in West London recently complained about the lack of rail replacement buses for the closures on the Jubilee and large parts of the central, Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith and City lines, resulting in nearly 100 people waiting at one bus stop for a rail replacement service. Why, when a majority of the tube lines were closed, were there not enough rail replacement buses in service to provide a satisfactory provision of transport?

    • Question by: Richard Barnes

  • Hotel Capacity (1)

    • Reference: 2009/3618
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2009
I understand 'strategically important hotel capacity', as referred to in Policy 4.5 of the London Plan, to mean large numbers of high quality hotel bedrooms located in places of strategic importance to visitors and tourists with good local transport links to the rest of the capital. Will you consider clarifying the definition of 'strategically important hotel capacity' in the next draft of the London Plan and will this definition broadly conform to one I have outlined above?
  • Hotel Capacity (2)

    • Reference: 2009/3619
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2009
Will you consider including in the London Plan greater clarity on where it is appropriate for local authorities to resist further intensification of hotel capacity in areas of existing concentration?
  • Out of service Buses on Ladbroke Grove

    • Reference: 2009/3621
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2009
Ladbroke grove is frequently used by 'Out of Service' buses despite TfL's arrangement with Kensington & Chelsea council that it would not be used for these purposes. Can the Mayor assure residents that TfL will enforce better control over its operators in this area, and that residents will not be disturbed by 'out of service' buses unnecessarily travelling through this residential area?
