Not with the drilling down into these projects; that is just an overall process, we checked that. This is about the specific projects. There is no oversight, there are no proper outputs worked out; the thing is a bit of a shambles. Somebody has to do this. We should not be doing it. In 2005-06 the two highest salaries paid by the LDA were one salary in the range £190-200k and one salary in the range £130-£140k. In 2006-07 the LDA paid two salaries in the range £210-£220k. Which posts attracted these salaries, and how do you justify increases of approximately 10% and 60% respectively in the two highest salaries at a time when average pay increases were closer to 3%?

In 2005-06 the LDA had 66 employees paid in excess of £50,000 per annum. By 2006-07 this had increased to 107. How do you justify this increase? How many salaries in excess of £50k are being paid in 2007-08?
