    The September CPI rate is normally used by government as the basis for uprating the business rates multiplier and key welfare benefits for the following financial year. Given the September 2023 CPI is 6.7% has the Government provided any information regarding whether it intends to cap, freeze or uprate the business rates multiplier, and on what basis?
