Would the Mayor support a museum of Second World War, to be established in the basement of Friern Barnet Town Hall? The museum would incorporate the existing World War II staff room with murals, air-purification machinery, a "nerve centre" behind air-tight sealed doors and an escape tunnel. It is proposed that the museum should explore the effects of war on the civilian population, to look at London as a whole, not just Friern Barnet, and modern times as well as the past. .
