I noted in your draft transport strategy that you did not commit to extending the Tramlink service to Crystal Palace Park. Tramlink offers some great opportunities to improve south London travel at a reasonable cost. When will you be able to make firm proposals about the future extension of Tramlink?

I am sure the Mayor would agree that the proposed Cross River Transit, connecting Camden to the Elephant and Castle and Peckham would offer great improvement for south London. When does the Mayor propose to make a firm decision about this service?

5) I am pleased that the Mayor recognises that the primary issue for the New Year celebrations are about safety, as this concern is certainly shared in Southwark. Can you please share with us what has been done to ensure that: the various agencies involved are well co-ordinated on the evening; there is sufficient public transport for people to move around the city safely, and that any difficulties with crowd build-ups near the river are dealt with quickly?
