  • Woodberry Down Estate

    • Reference: 2022/5200
    • Question by: Sem Moema
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
The London Renters Summit you have recently hosted in City Hall is timely and important. London’s housing crisis is a rental crisis. The rental crisis has a massive impact on my constituents such as those residing in Woodberry Down Estate. Will you make representations to Berkeley Homes and landlords of Woodberry Down Estate to tackle unfair rent increases, unethical practices by landlords, empty properties, and excessive overseas ownership of local properties at Woodberry Down Estate?

    • Question by: Sem Moema
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
What steps will you take to tackle tube noise in Islington, and North East London more widely, to improve the standard of living for my constituents blighted by this issue? As you are aware, over 525,000 people in Greater London are affected by rail noise over 55 decibels. Will TfL continue to prioritise track improvements and rail grinding, and implementing shock-absorbent track fastenings to tackle tube noise?

    • Question by: Sem Moema
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
What plans do you have to ensure Wood Street station in Waltham Forest will be made accessible to commuters with accessibility needs? Currently the station has no ramps, no lifts, and no step-free access. This station is one of many in my constituency of North East London that need step-free access installed. Wood Street station especially is in need of step-free access and lifts as it is the nearest station to Whipps Cross Hospital.
