TfL uses the Sentinel system to approve access to its network for its workforce and contractors. Does TfL’s contracts include any stipulation on whether contracted workers are required to pay £195 for a sentinel card out of their own pocket, or whether the contracting business is obligated to but the cards for them? If not, will you consider such a stipulation in future contracts to ensure workers are not penalised for going to work?
